On 3 December 2025, the kick-off event of the research project Critical Faculties. BiPoC+ FLINTA* at Art Academies took place in the Atrium of HfG Karlsruhe. Together with project partners, artists, scholars, and guests, the event opened a space for exchange on how artistic and institutional narratives are shaped. What roles do archives, bodies, memory, and representation play in the formation of academic knowledge? And how can decolonial, feminist, and solidarity-based practices be developed within and beyond existing structures? A video screening by Anike Joyce Sadiq brought visual and performative approaches to the discussion.
