Ulaş Aktaş is Professor of Primary School Education, Artistic-Aesthetic Education and Art Didactics at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Berlin University of the Arts. He works at the intersection of aesthetic education, pedagogy and critical theory. Ulaş investigates media and image theory, the politics of representation, postcoloniality, vulnerability, difference, and care-feminist critiques of capitalist educational structures. As part of the BMFTR research project "Critical Faculties," he leads the academic research.
