Ülkü Süngün is a visual artist, curator, and artistic researcher whose work explores the intersections of migration, memory, and identity politics. In 2017, she founded the Institute for Artistic Post-Migration Research, which became the conceptual foundation for Critical Faculties, a research project she conceived, initiated, and now leads at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design (HfG Karlsruhe). From 2022 to 2023, she held an interim professorship at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart.
